In recent years, many devices with support for eSIM (embedded SIM) have been released, allowing users to complete contracts and activation entirely online.

However, many people may still be uncertain if their device supports eSIM.

Smart phones

1. Universal Method for iOS and Android

By dialing "*#06#", your device information will automatically display.

If an "EID" number is shown on the screen, your device supports eSIM.

(Note: Rakuten Hand displays "EID" but is not eSIM-compatible.)

1. Dial "*#06#" on the phone keypad

2. Press the call button

3. Check if the "EID" field is displayed

2. Device-Specific Methods for iOS and Android

For iPhone:

1. Go to "Settings" → "Cellular"

2. If you see "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan," your iPhone supports eSIM.

For Android:

1. Open "Settings" and go to "Connections" or "Mobile Network."

2. Look for "SIM Card Manager" or "eSIM." If it’s present, your device supports eSIM.
