3. Euros and Credit Cards

The Euro is the common currency in many European countries, but some countries use different national currencies. It is useful to carry cash and a credit card (Visa).

4. Clothing

Summer in Paris is relatively mild, but nights can be cold. Please prepare a thin jacket or parka, T-shirt, shorts and comfortable shoes.

A folding umbrella or umbrella is also useful in case of sudden rain.

5. Electronic devices

Smartphones, cameras and chargers are essential. Don't forget to bring a converter plug and a portable charger for use abroad.

Free Wi-Fi is available in many places in Paris, but it's a good idea to buy a data-specific eSIM or SIM card in advance, just in case.

A hat and sunglasses are also useful, especially when the sun is strong.

7. Travel guides and translation apps

It is very useful to carry travel guides and maps of the countries you visit. Also, install translation apps on your smartphone to overcome language barriers.

8. Other

Purchasing a transportation IC card (Navigo card) is very useful to use the Paris transportation system. Also, carry a credit card and a small amount of cash to pay locally.

II. Measures to ensure safe travel

Paris is a famous tourist destination, but unfortunately it is also known for its many thieves. Here are some tips and suggested dress codes to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.

1. Close-fitting and cross-body bags

Fitted and crossbody bags are not easy targets for thieves because they can be kept in front of the body at all times. Choose a bag with a secure zipper.

2. Clothing with many inside pockets

Wear jackets or coats with lots of inside pockets to keep your valuables safe. Especially keep your valuables in the inner pockets and not the outer pockets.

3. Casual, inconspicuous clothing.

Avoid wearing expensive designer items and jewelry and dress in understated, casual clothing. Equally important, don't look like a tourist.

4. Belts with concealed pockets4. Belts with hidden pockets

Belts with hidden pockets make it easy to keep money and cards safe. Since they are not visible from the outside, they are less likely to be targeted by thieves.
